Inside the Studio

Every piece I make begins in my hands.

I work with recycled silver and gold, using traditional metalsmithing techniques like chasing, repoussé, keum-boo, and bezel setting. I start by alloying and rolling out my own metal, then shape it using hammers, fire, and intention. Color comes from patina or carefully set gemstones. Texture comes from different tools and techniques.

Some pieces begin with an idea or emotional thread. Others start with a form I can’t get out of my head—a poppy petal, a butterfly wing, a bend in a ginkgo leaf. Not everything has a story, and not everything needs one. Sometimes, the piece is the feeling.

Everything is handcrafted. Nothing is cast. If you’re wearing my work, you’re carrying a little bit of that quiet, focused energy with you.

My studio is where ideas come to life— it’s where I come to life. Sometimes slowly, often manic, always by hand. These tools and spaces hold the rhythm of my work: quiet, intentional, and ever evolving.
